  MIHAELA  IVANOVA 

  Born in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Lives and works in Plovdiv..

   Member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists and of the Society of Plovdiv Artists

   Since 1994  Professor of Painting at the National High School of Stage and Film Design in Plovdiv.

    EDUCATION:

   1988 – graduated from  Veliko Turnovo University St. Ciril and St. Methodius, Department of Fine Arts, specialising in Painting, in the class of professor A. Terziev.

    1983 – graduated from Tzanko Lavrenov High School of Fine Arts, Plovdiv

 2007/2008 - "Cyrillic Script" Art Project - artistic version of the letters of the Bulgarian Alphabet represented by 30 artists from Plovdiv. A project run by the Ministry of Exterior, Plovdiv Municipality and the Plovdiv State Art Gallery. The exhibition was shown in Plovdiv, Sofia, Brussels, Madrid, Banja Luka, Ankara, Kiev, Tashkent, Novosibirsk (2008) and Tel Aviv, Saint Petersburg and Moscow (2009).
  2007 - IV International Fine Art Festival, organized by "Gabor Egressy" Cultural Centre, Ocsa, Hungary.
  1996 - “Momchilovtsi’96” National Painting Plein-air with exhibition at National Art Gallery, Sofia, Bulgaria.

   2016 - Winner of the Contest for participation in the program Artist in Residence of GEDOK, Munich, Germany
   2016, 2012 - Allianz National Awards - Nominee in painting.
   2012 - "Osem" Magazine Award at the Competition for painting "The Coloured Rays Of The Light".
   2001 - Prize for painting awareded by the Society of Plovdiv Artists.
